TERRIL - For the second game in a row, the Estherville Lincoln Central boys started slowly, but persevered on the way to a 63-48 victory over Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on Thursday.

After trailing 14-9 after the first quarter, ELC worked its way back into the game. A 3-pointer by Will Larson near the end of the half put ELC up 30-29 at the break.

However, ELC coach Nick Gruhlke wasn't happy with his team's effort in the first half. After a locker room speech, the Midgets came out fired up and out-scored the hosts 22-8 to put the game out of reach.

GT/RA (4-4 overall) returns to action on Jan. 4 at Manson-Northwest Webster.
