Mass of Christian Burial for Edward O. Boucher, 87, of Estherville, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville with Father Merlin Schrad officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Worthington, Minn., with military honors by VFW Post #3388. He died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Edward O. Boucher, the son of Alcide and Myra (Chaussee) Boucher, was born May 18, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa.

He received his education in the Sioux City Schools. After completing his education, Ed served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was in a tank division and was engaged in two invasions and battles and was awarded seven Battle Stars along with the Silver Star. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the Sioux City area.

He was united in marriage to Bebe Ann Kilanowicz in 1952. Ed was employed as a butcher for 30 years at Armour in Sioux City, Worthington and St. Paul, Minn. On May 6, 1978, Ed was united in marriage to Colleen Janasko in Lakefield, Minn. In his leisure time he enjoyed making quilts for fundraisers and charity, gardening, and fish cleaning.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. He was very active in the VFW Post 3388 of Estherville.

Left to cherish Ed's memory are his wife, Colleen of Estherville; daughter, Sandra Peters of Fairmont; son, Steve Boucher of Worthington; step-sons, John Janasko of Estherville, Greg Janasko of Surprise, Ariz.; sister, Juanita Vollmer of Sioux City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Vickie Boucher of Elk Pointe, S.D.
