ELC fought back in the second period, cutting the deficit to four, 29-25, by halftime.

A steal and layup by Sander to start the third quarter brought the Midgets within two. But ELC couldn't quite get over the hump. The Indians took a 44-36 lead into the final period and outscored ELC 24-18 in that stanza.

Alec Heifner chipped in 10 points while Blake Miller had nine. Matt Christensen came off the bench for four points and a team-high seven rebounds. Brian Egeland also had four points while Will Larson and Seth Vaske each had two.

On Friday, ELC fell behind Western Christian early and couldn't make up the difference. The Wolfpack jumped out to an 18-10 lead in the first quarter and then out-scored ELC 22-6 in the second period to lead 40-16 at halftime. ELC made a min-run in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 50-30, but Western Christian prevailed with a 67-39 win.

Will Larson led ELC with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting, but ELC couldn't get much else. Ryan Schiltz finished with six points, Izaak Sander had five, Alec Heifner and Blake Miller each had four points, Hogan Kriech had three and Matt Christensen had two.

ELC (4-14 overall, 0-10 in the Lakes Conference) travels to Spencer this Friday.
