Sheridan shows off new drone

Emmet County supervisors check out EMS multi-tasking drone

Travis Sheridan, Emmet County emergency manager, showed the county supervisors the department's new drone at Tuesday morning's meeting.

Able to withstand wind gusts of up to 35 mph, to assist at fires, search and rescue, and law enforcement needs, to send photos and live video from 400 feet in the air, Sheridan removed the batteries from the drone so the county supervisors wouldn't get carried away.
