ALGONA - After giving up a solo home run in the first inning, Estherville Lincoln Central pitcher Gabby Paul and the Midgets' defense shut Algona down on Tuesday.

The ELC offense didn't get started until the fifth inning, but came up big with five runs on the way to an 8-1 victory over the Bulldogs.

"Gabby pitched outstanding," said ELC coach Megan Anderson. "We played well defensively committing just one error."
