A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Cody J. Mustard, 44, of Estherville, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville Interment will be at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery, Estherville. He passed away in rural Estherville on Nov. 9, 2019.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12,2 019, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.

Cody Joe Mustard was born on April 1, 1975, in Estherville, Iowa to Robert Mustard and Susan Egeland.

Cody attended and graduated from Estherville High School in 1994. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville and later Iowa State University in Ames, studying computer science. He joined the United States Navy and was discharged due to an injury. He then returned to Estherville. He was employed throughout the years at Day Break Foods, McDonald's, Jamie's Day Care and Casey's. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville.

Cody was a loving and caring person, who would do anything for anyone. He loved playing games, especially the Play Station 4, with his nieces and nephew. Spending time with his entire family and host of friends was very important to him. He enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing, cookouts, and swimming at Pike's Point and King's Point. Cody enjoyed taking taekwondo classes through the ATA Association.

Cody is survived by his parents Sue Dalen of Estherville and Robert Mustard of Marshalltown, Iowa; his siblings Wade (Lisa) Mustard and their son Matthew; Jamie (Dan) Trosin and their children Cheyane, Kaitlyn, Lacey, and Ericka; and Jon Carlson and his daughter Shanna.

He is preceded in death by his brother Todd Mustard, grandparents Jon and Mary Egeland, and his cousin Thomas Bortvit.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
