Thursday night, the Iowa Democratic Party reported 100 percent of precincts' complete results. However, the head of the national Democratic party has already demanded the results be recanvassed.

As the results hit the 100 percent mark, the Associated Press, which traditionally declares national election winners, remained concerned about irregularities.

South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttegieg and Vermont U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders remained in a tight race with Buttegieg leading Sanders by two state delegate equivalents out of 2,152 counted.

In Emmet County, the final results looked a little different from what was counted by press time Wednesday for Thursday's edition.

Buttegieg won 114 state delegate equivalents and Sanders won 80. Former vice president Joe Biden came in with 69, Minnesota U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar with 57, Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren with 46 and Financier and philanthropist Tom Steyer with 34, Steyer's best performance in the state.

Percentagewise, the breakdown was Buttegieg 28.5, Sanders, 20, Biden 17.2, Klobuchar 14.2, Warren 11.5 and Steyer 8.5.

The head of the U.S. Democratic Party has demanded a recanvass of all votes to confirm the results.
