Jensen back on the track

Estherville Lincoln Central alum Jacob Jensen returned to the track at the Iowa Track Guy Carnival in Brooklyn, Iowa, on Wednesday.

Jensen took part in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes at an event featuring athletes in grades 7-12 from at least four different states-Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Jensen finished eighth out of 36 runners in the 200-meter dash in 23.79 seconds with the first-place runner clocking in a time of 22.46 seconds.

Jensen finished seventh out of 17 runners in the 400-meter dash with a 53.74 seconds.

The winner, Kongor Garang of Ames, won in 49.73 seconds. Finishing one place ahead of Jensen was Edgar Tapia from Harris-Lake Park, who will be Jensen's teammate at Hawkeye Community College this next school year.
