I am excited that the EIDC is looking into saving this building. It takes forward looking people to see that saving something is sometimes less expensive than trying to get rid of it. If a functioning building that we can again be proud of is the end result, then everyone wins.
I would rather save the building and make it an useful asset than letting it deteriorate until it falls on the public taxpayers to demolish it. It should reflect on all the effort expended in the 100 south 6th Street Block to enhance their business places.

The proper question should be: "Should the JCP building be saved using $500,000 of taxpayer's money"
